to the website of the Italian Club of Seattle! We invite you to
explore our site to learn the history of this great organization,
to read about the many activities in which you can participate,
and to see how you and your family can become members.
The
Italian Club has been in existence for almost ninety years. When
it was originally founded, it was an organization of Italian immigrants,
primarily in the professions, who wanted to network and do business
together. More >>
Today, the Italian Club welcomes members of all ages, nationalities
and backgrounds. All that is required is a desire to socialize with
folks who have an interest in "things Italian," i.e.,
Italian food, Italian wine, Italian music, art and culture. Many
of our members are 3rd and 4th generation immigrants from all over
the United States and they bring a diverse collection of Italian-American
experiences to the organization. More

The Italian Club meets at the St. Joseph's School Auditorium on
the second Thursday of each month. Prior to the meeting, there is
a delicious buffet supper - with wine for adults - at the nominal
price of $5 per person. The Club also presents a monthly businessperson's
luncheon with outstanding guest speakers at the Rock Salt Restaurant
on Lake Union on the third Wednesday of each month. Price including
tax and gratuity is $18. More

The Italian Club host an entire year of activities for all age
groups, everything from a Golf Tournament and a Day at Emerald Downs
to Halloween & Christmas parties for the children of members.

A newsletter, "il Ficcanaso" is published monthly and
mailed to each member household. It tracks the official business
of the Italian Club, the social activities and other items of interest
to the members. It is also available in color online. More>>

| Italian Club Scholarships!
The
Italian Club gives $500 scholarships to students at Catholic
high schools in the Seattle area. Students must re-apply each
year. The qualifications are as follows:
1. A parent must have been in
good standing in the Italian Club for at least three years.
2. The student must have a grade point average of 3.0 (with
official transcript) and take part in extra-curricular activities,
community service, etc.
3. The parent must attend at least three Club meetings during
the year.
4. Each applicant must write a letter telling about him/her
self and activities in which he/she is participating.
5. Those interested should fill out the application on page
6 of il Ficcanaso. More

Festa Italiana Seattle!
Join the Italian Club as we
participate once again in Seattle's Festa Italiana!
Festa Italiana is a series of
events held the last week of September which culminates in
a major Italian Festival at Seattle Center. For the past 20
years Festa Italiana has celebrated the cultural roots of
Italians and Italian-Americans by presenting and promoting
the arts, the food and the spirit that are uniquely Italian.
You can volunteer to be a part of this uniquely Seattle Italian
event that is presented in the beautiful Fisher Pavilion and
the surrounding grounds and buildings at Seattle Center. Dates:
the Taste of Italy, Friday, September 26, and the 21st Annual
Italian Festival, September 27 & 28, 2008.
